What kind of coach am I?

I am trained in ontological coaching, which is a transformative approach that focuses on the way individuals perceive themselves and their relationships with others. It emphasizes the exploration of one's beliefs, emotions, and language, enabling clients to gain insight into their patterns of behavior and identity. By fostering self-awareness and intentionality, ontological coaching empowers individuals to create meaningful changes in their lives and achieve their personal and professional goals.  I am also inspired & influenced by many other authors, philosophies, and methodologies, including Positive Psychology, Stoic Philosophy, and the work of Dr. Brene Brown and Byron Katie.


What does your program consist of?

I work with individuals, teams, and organizations facing all kinds of transition and transformation.  Accordingly, I don’t have a “standard” program.  We’ll work together to define your goals and co-create a program to best support you achieving those goals, taking into account the realities of your life.  Some of the things we’ll decide:

  • Length of program: For individuals, I typically recommend a 3-6 month engagement, depending on the variables below.  For organizations, 6-12+ months is recommended, depending on the transformation at hand, and for teams, we can do a short engagement with a couple of workshops, or a longer engagement to include individual coaching, as well.

  • Length of sessions: Sessions are usually 30-60 minutes, depending on how much time you want to dedicate, and how frequently you want to meet.

  • Frequency of sessions: We’ll usually meet every 1-2 weeks, depending on the urgency and intensity of the change, how much support you want, and how much time you have between sessions to “practice” the skills & homework we co-create during sessions.

  • Inclusion of assessments or 360 feedback: I am proficient in a variety of 360 Feedback assessments, CliftonStrengths, and EQ 2.0.  Let’s discuss if it makes sense to include any of these in your engagement.
